Medic-CE Curriculum Receives Approval from State of New Jersey for EMS Continuing Education

LEHI, Utah—June 20, 2017—Medic-CE, a Career Step company and leading provider of accredited online continuing education for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals, is pleased to announce that thirteen hours of self-paced curriculum for EMS clinicians have been approved and are now accepted by the state of New Jersey. EMTs in New Jersey who are dual licensed through both the state and the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) have also been approved to earn live, instructor-led continuing education hours through Medic-CE’s virtual, instructor-led training (VILT) courses.

“We are thrilled to receive approval from the State of New Jersey,” said Judson Smith, Medic-CE’s Vice President of Continuing Education. “Now, busy New Jersey EMS professionals will have the opportunity to complete their continuing education requirements at their own pace and when and where it works best for them.”

This accreditation and approval means that EMS professionals in New Jersey have additional self-paced and live, instructor-led continuing education options. The state of New Jersey reviewed the curriculum for each course to ensure it met both the state’s EMS standards and the National Core Curriculum as outlined by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician’s National Continued Competency Program.

“Medic-CE is dedicated to providing easy-to-use, self-paced EMS training,” said Andrew Steward, Medic-CE’s Director of Continuing Education. “We are committed to creating an effective and powerful learning experience for students that we are now excited to share with EMS professionals in the state of New Jersey.”
