Medic-CE Now the Only Online EMS Education Company to be Fully Accredited in the State of Florida

LEHI, Utah—July 25, 2017—Medic-CE, a Career Step company and leading provider of accredited online continuing education for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals, is pleased to announce that more than 100 hours of its virtual, instructor-led training (VILT) for EMS clinicians have been approved and are now accepted by the state of Florida. Medic-CE is the only provider with full accreditation to offer Virtual Instructor-Led EMS Refresher Programs in the State of Florida.

“We are thrilled to receive approval from the State of Florida,” said Judson Smith, Medic-CE’s Vice President of Continuing Education. “Being the only accredited provider in the State of Florida, we are committed to providing high-quality and convenient online continuing education to EMS professionals.”

This accreditation and approval means EMS professionals in Florida now have additional state and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) accepted live, instructor-led continuing education options. The state of Florida reviewed the curriculum for each course to ensure it met both the state’s EMS standards and the National Core Curriculum as outlined by the NREMT’s National Continued Competency Program.

“Medic-CE is dedicated to providing high-quality, user-friendly EMS training,” said Andrew Steward, Medic-CE’s Director of Continuing Education. “As emergency responders ourselves, we understand the pressures first responders face, and we are passionate in creating effective and powerful training opportunities for EMS professionals. We want to help them maintain the knowledge and skills needed to do their jobs well while keeping themselves and others safe.”
